VADO, N.M. — Continued wintry weather at Vado Speedway forced the cancellation of Thursday’s third round of the Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout, officials announced this morning. | Complete WWS coverage

The miniseries is scheduled to resume with Friday’s regularly-scheduled program followed by Saturday and Sunday action with a pair of $10,000-to-win Super Late Model events and $25,000-to-win finale for the premier division.

Wednesday’s scheduled event was postponed to Thursday because of cold weather and snow flurries, which continued Thursday with temperatures expected to reach barely above freezing.
