Amid inclement weather, Wednesday’s practice for Volusia Speedway Park's DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals has been cancelled to ensure the racing surface and pit area is ready for Thursday’s opening event, World of Outlaws Late Model Series and track officials announced.

The Barberville, Fla., oval’s three-program weekend is still on as scheduled highlighted by a pair of $12,000-to-win WoO events Thursday and Friday and a $20,000-to-win WoO finale Saturday at the D-shaped dirt track. Crate Late Model divisions (604 and 602) are on the undercard.

Pit gates open at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with hauler load-in beginning at 11; grandstands open at 3 with hot laps scheduled for 4.
