April 11-12 rainouts, cancellations
Among non-national touring Dirt Late Model special and sanctioned events rained out, postponed or cancelled the second weekend in April; rescheduled date added unless no makeup date was immediately announced:
Lake Cumberland: Steady rain cancelled Saturday's $3,000-to-win American All-Stars season opener, postponing it to next Saturday, April 19; The All-Star Crate Series now opens its season on Friday, April 18 at Mountain Motor Speedway in Isom, Ky.
Port Royal: Dreary weather expected to stretch into the weekend washed out Saturday's $4,000-to-win Super Late Model event at the Pennsylvania track. The division will be back at Port Royal on April 19.
Tyler County: Rain and saturated grounds cancelled Saturday's $4,000-to-win RUSH Late Model Series season opener; officials are working to reschedule, but a makeup date was not immediately announced.
Selinsgrove: Rain washed out Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway's grand reopening set for Friday night; track officials are working to reschedule, but conceded it would likely be later in the season. Super Late Models are slated to compete there next Friday, April 18.
Volunteer: Cold and wet weather forced the cancellation of Saturday’s unsanctioned Scott Sexton Memorial Spring Thaw at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. The $12,000-to-win Super Late Model event won’t be rescheduled.
