What won the race: Reigning tour champion Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., claimed a $3,000 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory Saturday at Greenville Speedway. Thrash finished 1.318 seconds ahead of Ryan Wilson for his fourth straight tour victory.
Key notes: Thrash has won the tour's last four events, starting with his Independence Day weekend triumph on July 5 at Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La. ... The six-time MSCCS champ is third overall on the tour's all-time wins list with 29. … Brian Rickman scratched after time trials. ... Bobby Jordan of McCarley, Miss., won the night's CRUSA feature for Crate Late Models.
