Tad Pospisil won his second straight Ben Nothdurft Memorial.
What won the race: Inheriting the lead on the ninth lap when polesitter Bill Leighton Jr. got tangled up in a wreck, fifth-starting Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., notched his first victory in nine months with a Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series triumph at Huset's Speedway. Pospisil collected $6,000 in taking the checkers 0.934 of a second ahead of Blair Nothdurft in a race honoring Ben Nothdurft, Blair's grandfather, while eighth-starting Lee Grosz was third.
Quotable: "We were down and out this morning. You can ask my crew ... we've just been struggling, just so thankful that we're able to turn it around and get a victory here," Pospisil said. "There's some good, good race cars behind me. Blair's a really good driver and Lee Grosz, I used to race him in gokarts a long time ago and he's a hell of a driver too, so just thankful to be here in victory lane."

The first of two red flags fell on the ninth lap when Bill Leighton Jr. was collected in a chain reaction wreck when Corey Zeitner slowed on the backstretch in a multicar incident. Leighton, who retired with nose damage, had a 1.5-second lead but gave up the lead to Pospisil. ... The second red-flag cleanup came on the 10th lap, Jesse Sobbing and Lance Matthees tangled in turn three, collecting an onrushing Charlie McKenna, whose car lifted Sobbing's car briefly off the ground (no one was hurt). ... Besides the red flags, the first of three yellows appeared on the lap-ninth restart with a multicar tangle on the frontstretch including Morgan Ward Grosz, Gary Brown Jr., Charlie Olsen and J.J. Rodeman. ... A second caution fell on the 18th lap when J.T. Wasmund got into the outside wall just before the flagstand. ... A lap-21 yellow fell for a four-car tangle. ... The feature concluded at 11:49 p.m.. ... Heavy rain the previous night provided a hooked-up racing surface and required occasional regrooming of the track. ... The event honored the late Ben Nothdurft of Sioux Falls, S.D., who owned and sponsored many cars and drivers. He died Feb. 2, 2018, at 84. ... The event was the first of the week head into the three-night Silver Dollar Nationals for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
