What won the race: Slipping by race-long leader Kevin Eder on the 29th lap, third-starting Shane Sabraski of Rice, Minn., outdueled Billy Kendall in the closing stages to win Sunday's 40-lap Structural Buildings WISSOTA Challenge Series feature at Granite City Motor Park. Sabraski rode the cushion back to the lead on lap 38 and paced the final three circuits, beating Kendall to the line by 0.202 of a second to win $3,000, his second Challenge Series victory of the season.

Quotable: “What a fun race that was, man, (challengers) were coming from out of everywhere,” Sabraski said. “I seen someone roll around the outside of me a couple times, even when I was behind (Kevin) Eder, I didn’t know if it was Billy (Kendall) or Cole (Searing). We had a good turnout and clean race tonight, that’s cool.”

Key notes: Sabraski led twice for nine laps (29-34, 38-40) in securing his sixth career WCS victory, four of them coming last year in his rookie season. ... Josh Zimpel, one night removed from his first career Challenge Series victory, gained three spots for an eighth place finish. ... The race was slowed by two cautions, the first coming on the ninth lap when 10th-running Jared Zimpel appeared to hit the turn one wall before retiring with heavy right front damage.
