What won the race: Surviving a two-lap dash after a late caution, Tony Jackson Jr. of Lebanon, Mo., repelled series points leader Jason Feger to claim the $5,000 MARS Late Model Championship Series victory Saturday at Red Hill Raceway. Jackson took the checkers 1.078 seconds ahead of Feger for his 21st career MARS victory.
Quotable: "(Jason) Feger told me this like was a hidden gem, or something, he said ‘you’ll really like this place,’ " Jackson said. “(The track) raced really well, (I’m) obviously biased, but we had a real fast car and was able to make the right changes all night long. Shannon Babb is obviously one of the best and Jason Feger, he can win anywhere he goes. I want to thank him, he’s always helping me.”
