Dan Angelicchio celebrates his first career ULMS victory.
What won the race: Overcoming a lengthy rain delay at intermission and a 15-minute red flag on the second lap, Dan Angelicchio of Mount Pleasant, Pa., fired off from the outside front row and led all 20 laps of Friday's $3,000 Fall Fest opener at Latrobe Speedway. Angelicchio beat Alex Ferree by 0.919 of a second for his first career Jay's Automotive United Late Model Series victory and second feature win this season at Latrobe.
Key notes: Angelicchio's other Latrobe victory came Aug. 9 in local 604 Crate competition. ... He notched his first special event since Oct. 7, 2023's Rick Frazee Memorial, also in 604 Crate action at Latrobe, worth $5,000. ... Alex Ferree, last year's Dave Kittey Memorial winner at Latrobe, reclaimed the runner-up spot from Mason Zeigler on a lap-13 restart and trailed Angelicchio the rest of the way. ...
