What won the race: Sliding by early leader Dale McDowell amid traffic on lap 11, fourth-starting Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn., led the rest of Saturday's 50-lap Young Memorial feature at North Georgia Speedway. Hedgecock beat McDowell by 1.476 seconds for the $7,500 payday and his second straight Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series triumph, his first aboard a new Longhorn Chassis.

I’m really confused on what this car needs,” Hedgecock said before later adding that the pass for the lead "was probably nicer on my end, not so much on (Dale McDowell’s), I’m hoping he’s not upset with me. He just kinda got himself in a spot, I mean it’s not like he did anything wrong, just lapped cars. Hopefully he’s good with me and everything, but happy to get (the win).”
