LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (April 4) — Outside front-row starter Wendell Wallace of Batesville, Ark., dominated at I-30 Speedway, leading all 40 laps of the O'Reilly Mid-South Racing Association event for a $2,000 payday. Wallace had lapped up to 10th place when the race's lone caution for debris appeared on the 30th lap, and he cruised the rest of the way for his third career MSRA victory.

Ray Moore of Shreveport, La., was second followed by Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark. Jack Sullivan of Greenbrier, Ark., rallied from 14th to finish fourth and Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville rounded out the top five. Polesitter Jeff Chanler of Minden, La., ended up sixth.

Notes: Wallace's GRT Race Car has a Gaerte Racing Engine and sponsorship from Wincrest Farms. ... Drivers from six states entered the event. ... The race's lone caution on lap 30 was for debris, but it could've been worst. Jon Mitchell and Billy Moyer Jr. made contact on the frontstretch with Moyer getting into the wall. He managed to keep going but a yellow waved for possible debris on the track. ... A broken right-front tie rod knocked Bill Frye out of the race during the caution. ... Two-time series champion Joey Mack used a provisional, racing from 19th to 14th. ... Next up for MSRA competitors is an April 11 event at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., in an event co-sanctioned by the O'Reilly Southern United Professional Racing tour. ... The race marks the first Super Late Model special at the gumbo clay track in 20 years. ...
