Combs gets $3,000 USDCS victory at Lucky 7
COLSON, Ky. (June 9) — Chris Combs of Isom, Ky., earned $3,000 Saturday at Lucky 7 Speedway with his victory in the Walter “Peg” Combs Memorial on the United Super Dirt Car Series.
Combs beat fellow Isom driver Stephen Breeding to the checkers while Josh McGuire of Grayson, Ky., winner of the previous night’s USDCS event at Mountain Motor Speedway, finished third. Jarrod Breeding of Isom and Victor Lee of Danville, Ky., rounded out the top five.
Notes: Combs drives a No. 47 sponsored by Short Chevrolet, Adams Bros. Plumbing and Electric and KR Enterprises. ... After the season-opening doubleheader, the series takes a break until a $4,000-to-win event July 3 at Wartburg (Tenn.) Speedway, a race co-sanctioned by the Southern Regional Racing Series.
