Sell pockets $5,000 in Willamette's Arnold Memorial

LEBANON, Ore. (July 24) — Veteran Russ Sell of Brownsville, Ore., earned one of his richest victories Saturday by capturing the 81-lap Clair H. Arnold Memorial at Willamette Speedway. Sell earned $5,000 in the inaugural event postponed by rain Labor Day weekend.

Portland teenager Brian Cronk finished second followed by John Duty of Portland. Billy Workman Jr. of Canby, Ore., was fourth and Todd Shandy of Albany, Ore., rounded out the top five.

Workman won the night’s Limited Late Model feature.
