FORT MORGAN, Colo. (April 20) — Gary Dechant of Northglenn, Colo., took control on the second lap and led the rest of the 25-lapper at I-76 Speedway for a victory in the Colorado Late Model Association opener. The Icebreaker marked Dechant's fourth career CLMA victory. Hometown driver Jim Clifton was second followed by John Kuchar of Henderson, Colo., Craig Baukema of Elizabeth, Colo., and Jim Beaman of Littleton, Colo.
