Some dirt tracks seem to be perfect matches for weekend doubleheaders, and one of my favorite pairs for Friday-Saturday specials are Batesville (Ark.) Motor Speedway and West Plains (Mo.) Motor Speedway.

We all have a soft spot for that special dirt track that first ignited our racing passions, and for me it's Brownstown Speedway. Even today, when I'm often asked about my favorite track, I've got no other answer than the quarter-mile oval in southern Indiana.

While it's in the pantheon of the nation's best dirt tracks — mentioning "Brownstown" doesn't require either the words speedway or Indiana to clarify what you're talking about — it's not everyone's favorite, I'm aware.
