Best Appearing Car set for World 100

DirtonDirt.com's lucrative Best Appearing Car award is up for grabs for the 10th straight season at Eldora Speedway’s 46th annual World 100 on Sept. 8-10 in Rossburg, Ohio.

The award pays $1,000 with $500 going to the winning driver and $500 to the wrap designer. The winner will be presented on Eldora’s stage during pre-race ceremonies Sept. 10 at Dirt Late Model racing’s most prestigious event.

Contest rules require teams to unveil fresh graphics schemes that are a deviation from what the driver has traditionally sported. Steve Casebolt of Richmond, Ind., won 2015’s award with a tribute to the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Other previous winners: Chub Frank of Bear Lake, Pa. (Chubzilla-themed); Tony Knowles of Tyrone, Ga. (World 100-themed); Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C. (Tar Heel Tiger-themed); Shane Clanton of Locust Grove, Ga. (Georgia football-themed); Jeep Van Wormer of Pinconning, Mich. (spider-themed); Justin Chance of Mansfield, Ohio (Earl Baltes-themed); Chris Madden of Gray Court, S.C. (“World Domination”); and Matt Miller (oversized “3”).

Drivers aren’t required to officially enter but should debut the graphics scheme on World 100 weekend. Media members and others will vote to determine the winner on the third of three days of action at the Tony Stewart-owned track.
