Among special events affected by weather during the Fourth of July weekend:

North Georgia Speedway, Chatsworth, Ga.: Facing a daunting forecast, the Fourth of July's Schaeffer Oil Southern National Bonus Series event was postponed to Aug. 19.

Angell Park Speedway, Sun Prairie, Wis.: Sunday's DiscountShopTowels.com Dirt Kings Tour event was rained out; no makeup date was immediately announced.

Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway: Saturday's $2,500-to-win Charlie Mize Memorial for the Fastrak Southeast tour was postponed to Monday, July 3.

Laurens County Speedway, Laurens, S.C.: Rain hit during prelims of the Ultimate Southeast Series event, postponing the Ronnie Brookshire Memorial to Aug. 25.

I-75 Raceway, Sweetwater, Tenn.: Saturday's United Crate Racing Alliance event was rained out and rescheduled for July 8.

Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway: Citing forecasts for rain, track and series officials moved Saturday's race to Sunday. The Southern Nationals Bonus Series and Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Series event pays $5,000-to-win.

I-80 Speedway, Greenwood, Neb.: Rain halted Malvern Bank Series action following Friday's heat races; no makeup date was immediately announced.

Elkins Raceway, Kerens, W.Va.: Friday's inaugural Red Fredrick Memorial, a $5,200-to-win event for Super Late Models, was rained out and rescheduled for July 14. The event will open a doubleheader weekend at Elkins with the $5,000-to-win Skidmore Memorial set for July 15.

ECM Speedway, Bremen, Ala.: Saturday’s opener for the NeSmith-sanctioned Salute to America Nationals has been postponed due to persistent rains and a forecast calling for more than 50 percent chance of showers. No makeup date was announced. The remaining two nights, Sunday at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Ala., and Monday at Talladega (Ala.) Short Track are still on as planned.

Carolina Speedway, Gastonia, N.C.: Friday's $3,000-to-win Fast Unified Engine Late Model Series event has been rained out. The tour and track are discussing a makeup date, but none was immediately announced.

Fort Payne Motor Speedway, Fyffe, Ala.: The $3,000-to-win Firecracker 50 scheduled for Saturday, July 1, has been postponed. No makeup information was immediately announced.

Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway: The Firecracker 100 weekend was postponed because of expected bad weather; the event, including a $5,000-to-win Crate Late Model feature, will be rescheduled, but no makeup date was announced.

Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway: Because of a gloomy weather forecast, Friday’s United Crate Racing Alliance event was postponed to July 7; the fireworks show will be part of the makeup.
