Wartburg's Aug. 5 purse on the rise
The purse for Wartburg (Tenn.) Speedway’s Dylan Kennedy Memorial is up to $4,370-to-win as the east Tennessee racing community pays tribute Aug. 5 to the late brother of racer Drew Kennedy, the Sunbright, Tenn., driver who pilots the No. K37 Late Model. Dylan Kennedy died last July at the age of 22.
Kilby Equipment added $670 to the original winner’s purse and other bonuses include $370 to the fast dash winner (courtesy Dustin Hamby, Logan Adcock and Jody Tipton), $237 to the fast qualifier (courtesy East Tennessee Race Report) and $137 to hard charger (courtesy Diamond Shine pressure washing).
The 37-lap feature for steel-head engine Late Models will highlight a card that includes increased purses for all divisions. Visit wartburgspeedway.net or the track Facebook page for more information.
