Rain and forecasts for more wet weather forced the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series to cancel Aug. 11-12 events at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway, the series announced. The events won’t be rescheduled.

Other mid-August events hampered by weather:

Proctor (Minn.) Speedway: Sunday's WISSOTA Shaw Trucking Challenge Series was cancelled by rain; no makeup date is expected.

Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway: Saturday's Carolina Clash race was postponed because of morning thunderstorms and a gloomy forecast. The $4,000-to-win event was rescheduled for Aug. 26.

Abilene (Texas) Speedway: Saturday's Southern Texas Late Model Series event was scrapped when rain struck after hot laps; the race won't be made up.
