Sunday’s Ultimate Southeast Late Model Series event at Rome (Ga.) Speedway has been canceled because of saturated grounds and forecasts for heavy rain, the series announced. Saturday’s $4,000-to-win event at Rome’s sister track, Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Ga., is still on as scheduled.

Among other special event schedule changes:

• Snowstorms have forced Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex to postpone the April 28 opener of the Tri-State Late Model Series. The $3,000-to-win Ben Nothdurft Memorial was rescheduled for May 5.

• Lingering winter weather forced the cancellation of April 21’s National Champion Racing Association opener at 81 Speedway near Wichita, Kan; the race was rescheduled for May 12.
