Live video for Schaeffer Oil tours
DirtonDirt.com is partnering with Speed Shift TV to provide live streaming video coverage of selected events from Ray Cook’s Schaeffer Oil-sponsored Super Late Model series during the 2019 season, the websites and Cook announced jointly today.
The live broadcast schedule begins with a Schaeffer’s Spring Nationals doubleheader April 12 at Clay Valley in Coeburn, Va., and April 13 at Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tenn. Friday’s first-ever Spring Nationals event at Clay Valley pays $4,000-to-win and Saturday’s stop at Smoky Mountain offers a $10,000 top prize.
“Myself and as a series, we’re excited to do this partnership with DirtonDirt and Speed Shift,” said Cook, a veteran racer from Brasstown, N.C., who oversees operation of the Schaeffer’s Spring, Southern and Fall Nationals tours and promotes his hometown’s Tri-County Racetrack. “I think it will bring value to our series and the racetracks. We don’t have many tracks that aren’t in the national spotlight, but a few of them are and if this can bring them to the stage a little more maybe it will help increase their crowds down the road.
“(DirtonDirt.com CEO) Michael (Rigsby) and DirtonDirt have really been a supporter of our series ever since it started. They’ve covered just about every event we’ve had, so it’s been a great relationship. I think this will only make it get better and increase the reach and interest in our three Schaeffer’s-sponsored series.”
Following the April 12-13 live broadcasts, another half dozen or so Schaeffer’s Southern and Fall Nationals events will be streamed live later this season. The complete schedule of live broadcasts will be announced soon.
All races will be co-streamed on both DirtonDirt.com and Speed Shift TV with identical broadcasts, pricing and shared resources. DoD subscribers and Speed Shift TV VIP members will receive special pricing at $10 per event.
