Among Fourth of July week rainouts
Besides national touring and DIRTcar Summer Nationals events, a roundup of weather-hampered races on the week of Independence Day:
Bedford Speedway: Sunday's Mason-Dixon Shootout Series event was rained out and won't be rescheduled.
Elkins Speedway: Saturday's third annual Red Fredrick Memorial was halted by rain after the Late Model dash; the $5,200-to-win Super Late Model event will be completed July 13.
Hagerstown Speedway: Saturday's Mason-Dixon Shootout Series show was rained out; no makeup date was announced.
Stateline Speedway: Saturday's Zimmer's United Late Model Series event in Busti, N.Y., was rained out with no makeup date announced.
Tri-County Racetrack: Friday's Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models event in Brasstown, N.C., was rained out and rescheduled for July 12.
Thunder Valley Raceway: Friday's Schaeffer's MARS Racing Series event in Salem, Ind., was rained out; no makeup date was announced.
Freedom Motorsports Park: Friday's Zimmer's United Late Model Series-sanctioned Jason Dunham Memorial was rained out in Deleven, N.Y. Track officials hope to announce a makeup date.
Volusia Speedway Park: Friday's unsanctioned Firecracker 4000 at Volusia was rained out. Officials hope to reschedule the event at the Barberville, Fla., oval.
North Central Arkansas Speedway: Friday's Southern Outlaw Late Model Sereis race at the Flippin, Ark., oval was rained out. No makeup date was announced.
I-90 Speedway: Friday's Tri-State Late Model Series event in Hartford, S.D., was rained out with no makeup immediately announced.
Miller Central Speedway: Thursday's Tri-State Late Model Series visit to Miller, S.D., was rained out; no makeup information was immediately announced.
Thunder Mountain Speedway: Wednesday’s Zimmer's United Late Model Series event in Knox Dale, Pa., was rained out following heat races; the tour plans a start-from-scratch makeup on Aug. 16
Enid Speedway: Wednesday’s Sooner Late Model Series event was rained out with no makeup date.
