Comp Cams tour postpones four races
Shuffling its schedule because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Arkansa-based Comp Cams Super Dirt Series has postponed its upcoming four events with tentative plans to return to action in mid-April, the series announced today.
Officials are considering dates to reschedule the March 27 event at Batesville (Ark.) Motor Speedway, the March 28 event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., the April 3 event at Texarkana (Ark.) 67 Speedway and the April 4 event at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore, Texas.
“It’s a bummer to have to put our season on hold, but obviously it’s the right thing to do. The safety and health of our fans, drivers, crew, and staff is paramount,” tour co-owner Chris Sullivan said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who is both directly and indirectly affected by the pandemic. We wish everyone the absolute best, and we look forward to seeing everyone again at the track.”
The series hopes to return to action April 17-18 at Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Speedway and Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Mo.
