World of Outlaws postpone Illini 100
With Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker issuing statewide orders for residents to shelter in place through April 7 as part of the effort to curb the spread of coronavirus, World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series and Farmer City Raceway officials have postponed the Illini 100 weekend scheduled for April 2-4 at the quarter-mile oval.
Series and track officials plan to seek a new date for the doubleheader, which includes $6,000- and $15,000-to-win events.
The Illini 100 announcement follows the World of Outlaws tour’s previous postponement of events set for March 27 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., and March 28 at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, S.C. The series also expects to reschedule those races.
Fans with tickets to the postponed events should continue to hold them until new dates are announced.
