Revising its schedule because of the coronavirus pandemic, Lucas Oil Speedway tonight announced the 28th annual Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtecttheHarvest.com will be pushed back from Memorial Day weekend to July 18.

Instead of a three-day show, the event will be a single night paying $20,000 for the race co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association. The originally scheduled CMH Diamond Nationals moves back one day to July 19 paying $12,000-to-win

General manager Danny Lorton said it was necessary to postpone the Show-Me 100 to July due to social distancing restrictions that limit crowd density during May.

"While we are disappointed not to be able to have the three-day version of the Show-Me," Lorton said, "hopefully by July some of the distancing restrictions will have eased and more fans will be able to attend and enjoy the event."

July's event would be the first time the Show-Me 100 has been held since 2018 after 2019’s race was cancelled after a severe windstorm damaged the facility last May.

Amid the schedule shuffling, the track added a pair of midweek Lucas Oil races May 12-13 paying $7,000-to-win with no spectators but shown live on LucasOilRacing.tv and free on the tour's Facebook page. A May 11 practice for series drivers is closed to the public.

Spectators can return to the track on May 16 for the track's first Big Adventure RV Weekly Championship Series program. A preseason practice is scheduled for May 9 for weekly drivers.

Fans who purchased advance tickets to the original Show-Me 100 dates will receive refunds, as will all those who had reserved camping spots for the Show-Me 100.
