Saturday night’s storms in Illinois that left unfavorable track conditions at the Bullring at RICo Fairgrounds forced the postponement of Sunday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals in East Moline, Ill.

No makeup date was immediately announced but track and series officials plan to find a suitable makeup date.

Next up for the series is Tuesday’s stop at Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway for another $5,000-to-win event. Three-time champion Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., leads the standings with 201 points over Brian Shirley (159) and Frank Heckenast Jr. (154).
