Bridging a pair of crown jewel events, Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway this evening announced plans for a midweek $15,000-to-win Super Late Model on Sept. 15 that will be streamed live at DirtonDirt.com and FloRacing.

The DIRTcar-sanctioned Super Late Model race is intended to cater to drivers heading to the Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville (Iowa) Raceway from the previous weekend's Intercontinental Classic at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway. The 50-lapper — One for the Road — will be a schedule highlight at the quarter-mile fairgrounds oval that's shuffled its schedule amid coronavirus restrictions.

“It’s no big secret that we were all disappointed to not have the Prairie Dirt Classic this year,” track owner and promoter Matt Curl said. “Ever since we were forced to make the postponement, our gears have been turning about trying to put together something special for the fans and racers.”
