Pike County Speedway this evening announced plans to revive the Jambalaya 100 on the last weekend in October with a $10,000-to-win Super Late Model race highlighting the seven-division event in Magnolia, Miss.

The Oct. 30-31 event includes two complete programs for unsanctioned Super Late Models with a $2,000-to-win event (30 laps) on opening night and five-figure payday for the 70-lap  finale. Crate Late Models, paying $2,500 for the finale, are among undercard divisions.

The revival marks the first running of the event since 2010, when Rodney Wing of Meridian, Miss., earned a $5,000 Southern United Professional Racing victory. Previous Jambalaya 100 winners include Scott Bloomquist, Jimmy Mars, Bill Frye, Ronny Adams, David Ashley and Chris Wall.

Other recent schedule changes and additions:

• Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio, has added a $10,000-to-win Super Late Model event on Sept. 12. The 50-lapper pays $500-to-start and the track is awarding two complimentary pit passes to winner of a contest to name the race on the track’s Facebook page.

• Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park has shifted its Beckley USA 100 to Sept. 6; the unsanctioned $15,000-to-win was originally scheduled for Sept. 12.

• Clayhill Speedway in Atwood, Tenn., added a $3,000-to-win event for Aug. 29 with Super Late Models topping a seven-division card.

• The United Championship Racing Alliance added a $2,000-to-win event Sept. 6 at East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City; UCRA has also rescheduled a Fort Payne (Ala) Motor Speedway stop for Sept. 12.
