Osborn, '89 IMCA champion, dies at 67
Denny Osborn, the 1989 IMCA Late Model champion and a Hall of Fame racer at three Iowa racks, died Monday at his Janesville, Iowa, home after a battle with cancer. He was 67.
The driver of the No. 72 Late Model competed for more than 30 seasons, winning multiple championships including IMCA's overall division title in 1989. He's a member of the Hall of Fame at three tracks: Independence Motor Speedway, Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City and Hawkeye Downs Speedway in Cedar Rapids.
Osborn operated Waterloo Auto Parts Salvage with his father Dale and farmed for many years. Survivors include his wife Nancy (Kingery) Osborn, son Brad, daughter Bethany and three grandchildren.
