Holiday weekend rainouts, schedule changes
Weather-related and other scheduling changes made during the Independence Day holiday weekend among special and sanctioned Dirt Late Model events:
Revolution Park: Citing early morning rain and a forecast calling for more storms during the day, officials cancelled Friday's Comp Cams Super Dirt Series debut at Revolution Park in Monroe, La. The event will not be rescheduled.
Outlaw: Friday's Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series at the Oktaha, Okla., track was called off due to over 4 inches of rain swamping the facility.
Freedom: Friday's Zimmer's United Late Model Series event at Freedom Motorsports Park in Delevan, N.Y., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
McKean County: Thursday's Zimmer's United Late Model Series event at McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pa., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
Florence: Overnight rain forced the cancellation of Thursday's $10,000-to-win Super Late Model event at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky.
I-30: Facing a wet forecast, officials postponed Thursday’s $5,000-to-win Comp Cams Super Dirt Series event at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Ark., oval to July 29. Weekend tour events at Louisiana’s tracks Revolution Park and Boothill Speedway are still on.
Clarksville: Thursday’s $2,000-to-win Crate Racin’ USA event at the Tennessee bullring was postponed because of an unfavorable forecast; no makeup date was immediately announced.
