Hampels cover Malvern tour pre-entries
The Hampel family will pay driver pre-entry fees for April 30's Gail and Karen Hampel Memorial on the Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series at Adams County Speedway (pictured) in Corning, Iowa. Pre-entry fees of $75 will be waived for drivers entering at slmrseries.com by 11 p.m. April 27; entry fees thereafter will be $95.
Gail Hampel, who died in 2015 at the age of 83, began promoting the half-mile oval in 1983 and the family continued promotions of the tracks until 2008. The event at Adams County, the second of the season on the Joe Kosiski-promoted tour, pays $3,000-to-win.
