WoO scraps plans for I-94 makeup
Aug. 2's World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series makeup at I-94 Sure Step Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn., has been cancelled, the series announced. The tour cited tire availability concerns. Ticket buyers will receive credit on their MyDirtTickets.com account or can seek a refund by emailing tickets@dirtcar.com.
Among other recent schedule changes announced by tours and tracks:
• The XR Southern All Star Series added an Aug. 27 event at Buckshot Speedway in Clanton, Ala., paying $4,000-to-win.
• Paducah (Ky.) International Raceway announced it will revive the USA World 50 on Aug. 12 with a $10,000-to-win Super Late Model event.
• Friday's Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series event at Sports Park Raceway in Fort Dodge, Iowa, was cancelled because of electrical problems at the track after a recent power surge. No makeup date was announced.
• Amid uncertainties over promotional changes, the Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model Series has cancelled its Aug. 5 event at Natural Bridge (Va.) Speedway.
• The Colorado-based High Plains Late Model Series moved its visit to Oberlin (Kan.) Speedway to Sept. 10-11. The Bob Salem Memorial had previously been scheduled for Aug. 12-13.
• The Dirt Track Bank Cash Money Super Dirt Series added two events. The Missouri-based series will make its debut at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill., on Aug. 19 and has added a Sept. 3 event at Warrensburg's Central Missouri Speedway.
