Big E hosts Baltes Look-Alike Contest
Do you have a resemblance to Eldora Speedway founder Earl Baltes? That could pay off if you're able to attend Sunday's Baltes Classic at the historic track in Rossburg, Ohio.
Part of festivities during the $5,000-to-win Super Late Model race program will be an Earl Baltes Look-alike Contest with the winner being selected, with the help of fans, from contestants lined up on frontstretch.
The winner will receive two tickets (and pit pass upgrades) for the following week's 52nd annual World 100, a victory lane photo op and $427.21 (by virtue of the birthday of the late track founder, April 27, 1921).
The contest runner-up will receive a pair of World 100 tickets and the third-place finisher will receive two hot dogs (the favorite concession item of Baltes).
Sept. 4's Baltes Classic includes modifieds and super stocks on the card. General admission is $19. Grandstands open at 4 p.m. and hot laps start at 6 p.m.
