Super Bee's SAS weekend cancelled
Citing a wet forecast, the Southern All Star Series today announced the cancellation of upcoming weekend action at Super Bee Speedway in Chatham, La.
The Hero 100 weekend, planned for $3,000- and $7,000-to-win events in the tour’s debut at the quarter-mile oval, won’t be rescheduled. The series is scheduled to compete at Super Bee on Oct. 14-15 for the Spooky 50 weekend.
Other weekend rainouts:
I-70: Saturday's Malvern Bank Super Late Model Series event at I-70 Motorsports Park in Odessa, Mo., was rained out and won't be rescheduled.
Halifax County: Saturday's I-95 Late Model Challenge event at Halifax County Speedway in Brinkleyville, N.C., was rained out and rescheduled for Oct. 7.
Harris: Saturday's City Chevrolet Thunder Series event for 602 Crate Late Models at Harris Speedway in Rutherfordton, N.C., was rained out and rescheduled for Sept. 17.
I-75: Saturday's United Championship Racing Alliance event at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
Needmore: Saturday's Southern Clash event at Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Ga., was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
Beckley: Saturday's Steel Block Bandits Dirt Late Model Challenge event at Beckley (W.Va.) Motorsports Park was rained out; no makeup date was immediately announced.
Enid: Saturday's Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series event at Enid (Okla.) Speedway was rained out with no makeup date immediately announced.
Putnam: The weekend's Larry Duty Memorial at Putnam Raceway in Satsuma, Fla., was rained out and rescheduled for Oct. 7-8.
