Knoxville finale postponed to Sunday
Drenching rain through early afternoon and the potential for more forced Knoxville Raceway and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series officials to postpone Saturday's 18th Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals finale to Sunday.
The same program planned for Saturday evening — B-mains and the 75-lap, $50,000-to-win Nationals plus time trials and a 22-lap feature for the Malvern Bank and Hoker Trucking Series — will be run on Sunday but with an earlier start time. Pit gates will open at 1 p.m. CT with hot laps at 3 p.m. CT; the Nationals headliner is scheduled to take the green flag at 5:30 p.m. CT.
Bobby Pierce and Jonathan Davenport are scheduled to start from the front row in Sunday's finale, which will be broadcast live on FloRacing.
