Scaling back its total races and winning prize money from its inaugural season, the XR Super Series on Thanksgiving Day announced a 16-event schedule for 2023 with plans for events among at least six tracks in six states highlighted by three $100,000-to-win events. | 2023 XRSS schedule

The Barry Braun-founded tour that races primarily on weekdays scheduled track-record six-figure paydays at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn. (March 25), Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Neb. (April 13) and the Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway Dirt Track (Nov. 11).

Four other scheduled events — Feb. 20 at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Fla.; May 8 and June 12 at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway); and Aug. 7 at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis. — pay $20,000-to-win while the remainder of the announced schedule is for $5,000-to-win doubleheaders leading up to the $100,000-to-win events. The venue for a July 10 event tentatively scheduled to pay $20,000-to-win wasn’t revealed.

Provided next month’s events at All-Tech are completed, the tour’s inaugural season had 22 races among eight tracks (two tracks with scheduled events had events cancelled) and paid out $715,000 in winning purses. The 2023 slate tentatively has six fewer events and pays $440,000 in first-place prize money, although the series announced last month it plans to add a full-season points fund for the first time. (The series paid a single-track points fund for 2022 events at a dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee along with bonuses that doubled payouts for some drivers in this season's Las Vegas finale.)

XRSS also announced earlier this week all-event ticket pricing of $25 per event (free for 17-and-under) with $35 pit passes ($10 for 17-and-under). The new pricing starts Dec. 2-3 at All-Tech for the tour's final 2022 events and continues for all 2023 races. Tour events are streamed live at racexr.plus.
