Florence's Spring 50 postponed to April 1
Saturday's $10,000-to-win Spring 50 at Florence Speedway in Union, Ky., has been postponed to April 1 because of forecasts of cold temperatures and precipitation, track officials announced on Tuesday. The 47th annual event is now scheduled as the second program of 2023 at the half-mile oval following a $5,000-to-win Super Late Model show March 25.
• Friday's Schaefer's Oil Spring Nationals event at North Georgia Speedway was scrapped because of a rainy forecast; the Chatsworth oval hopes to reschedule the $7,553-to-win Biddle Ridley Memrorial but no makeup date was announced.
• Trying to avoid expected Sunday rain, Fort Payne (Ala.) Motor Speedway revised the Bama Brawl format with Super Late Models ($5,000-to-win) and United Championship Racing Alliance Crate Late Models ($3,023-to-win) running their programs Saturday. Other divisions will run Friday and Saturday.
