Mid-May rainouts and postponements
Among Mid-May non-national touring special and sanctioned Dirt Late Model events affected by weather:
Benton County: Sunday's PRO event at Benton County Speedway in Vinton, Iowa, was rained out with no makeup date announced.
Dakota State Fair: Saturday's Tri-State Late Model Series event at Dakota State Fair Speedway in Huron, S.D., was rained out.
Central Arkansas: Saturday's Titan Legends Late Model Series event at Central Arkansas Speedway in Plumerville was rescheduled for July 8.
Devil's Bowl: Saturday's American Crate Late Model Series event at Devil's Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, rained out with no makeup date announced.
Creek County: Saturday's Complete Well Testing Sooner Late Model Series event at Creek County Speedway in Sapulpa, Okla., was rained out; no makeup date was announced.
Magnolia: Friday’s $5,000-to-win weekend opener was rained out; series and track officials are confident they will still be able to run Saturday’s $10,000-to-win Governor’s Cup finale as scheduled.
U.S. 36: Friday's Malvern Bank Series event at U.S. 36 Raceway in Osborn, Mo., was rained out; track and series officials are considering new dates for the $3,000-to-win race.
Atomic: With impending rains forecasted to hit Ohio's Atomic Speedway on Friday night and carry over into Saturday, Valvoline Iron-Man Northern Late Model Series and track officials have postponed Saturday’s Mother’s Day Shootout, with the $7,500-to-win feature rescheduled for July 22.
RPM: American Crate Late Model Series and RPM Speedway track officials have cancelled Friday’s $1,100-to-win event at the Crandall, Texas, track because of a wet forecast. With the weekend doubleheader reduced to one show, series officials will announce later a decision regarding Saturday’s race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas.
