Rain postpones Farmer City to Monday
A thunderstorm that struck Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway after Friday’s first Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series B-main left the quarter-mile oval too wet for further action, forcing officials to postpone the balance of the Farmer City 74 program to Monday. | RaceWire
May 15 was selected by officials because many of the event’s long-distance travelers will remain on the road to enter Castrol FloRacing Night in America and Lucas Oil Series shows in Iowa over the following days. It will also allow the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series regulars already locked into the $25,000-to-win headliner to compete before heading east for weekend tour stops in Pennsylvania.
Hot laps are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. CDT. The second B-main will lead off the card before the running of the 74-lap feature and the support-division action.
