HTF tour shuffles summer schedule
Shuffling its schedule amid rainouts and lost dates at the now-closed Boyd's Speedway, the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series today added another event at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss., and shifted August's stop at North Georgia to early July.
The addition of a June 23 event at Whynot sets up a pair of $5,000-to-win races when coupled with an existing June 24 event at the track. The weekend doubleheader will be co-sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series.
North Georgia's Aug. 5 date has been moved to July 1 and the event — now paying $10,000-to-win instead of $15,000-to-win — replaces a former Boyd's date and restores the first-year tour's tripleheader weekend ahead of Independence Day. The series is scheduled for races June 30 at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., and July 2 at Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tenn.
The series plans to replace the open Aug. 5 date soon.
