With a forecasted 100% chance of rain, Fayetteville Motor Speedway cancelled Friday’s third round of the fourth annual North Carolina Speedweek.

Mid-East 604 Crate Late Models ($3,000-to-win) headline Saturday’s finale, while Mid-East 602s compete for a $2,000 winner’s prize; pits open at 1 p.m. and grandstands open at 4, with hot laps immediately following the 4 p.m. driver’s meeting.

Dean Bowen of Fair Bluff, N.C., led the final three laps to win Thursday’s $1,000 Mid-East 602 feature; Wednesday’s Speedweek opener was also rained out.
