MARS Championship Series officials today announced its March 28 season opener will now offer a $10,000 winner’s purse thanks to a boost from an anonymous sponsor.. The race was originally scheduled to pay $7,500-to-win.

The Friday opener kicks off a MARS doubleheader weekend at Maquoketa (Iowa) Speedway as part of the second annual Nippy 50 that awards a $15,000 top prize on Saturday, March 29. Flag-to-flag action will be live-streamed on FloRacing.com.
