Continuous rain at Fountain City, Wis., prompted Mississippi Thunder Speedway and World of Outlaws Real American Beer Late Model Series officials to cancel Thursday night's opener of the Dairyland Showdown weekend and revise weekend purses.

The rest of the weekend remains on as scheduled, but the loss of the opening night has led to a change in purse structure. Friday's WoO feature will now pay $25,000-to-win rather than the originally posted $10,000, while Saturday's finale will offer a $30,000 first-place prize after initially being earmarked for a $75,000 payout.

Friday's hot laps are scheduled for 6 p.m. Fans who purchased advance tickets for Thursday's action will be refunded.
