Longtime Muskingum County Speedway owner and promoter Ronnie Moran will be honored with a $5,000-to-win Super Late Model memorial event on May 31, the Zanesville, Ohio, track announced this evening.

The Ronnie Moran Memorial will pay tribute to the patriarch of one of Ohio’s most successful racing families with a five-division program at the 4/10-mile oval that Moran purchased in 1980 and promoted from 1992-2012 (the family still operates the track).

Along with Super Late Models, modifieds, Crate Late Models ($2,000-to-win), mod lites and 4-cylinders will be in action for the inaugural event honoring Grandpa Poppy, who died in December at 87.
