Show-Me 100 sponsors, singer

Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Mo., this week announced the return of the Missouri Division of Tourism as the 33rd annual Lucas Oil Show-Me 100’s presenting sponsor with Nutrien Ag Solutions again sponsoring the pre-race ceremonies and entertainment for the Memorial Day weekend event.
One of the biggest races on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series pays a record $75,000-to-win on May 24 with $10,000-to-win preliminary programs on May 22-23.
“We know race fans will enjoy the on-track action at the Diamond of the Dirt Tracks, and we look forward to welcoming visitors from around the Midwest and across the country for this exciting weekend,” said Stephen Foutes, director of the Missouri Division of Tourism.
The Nutrien Ag Solutions-sponsored entertain will include Nashville recording artist Lee Newton performing live on the midway that includes merchandise vendors, food, children’s bounce houses and other displays. Newton won 2020’s Josie Music Awards Vocalist of the Year has just released her new album “Homesick.” She has opened for country greats like Randy Travis, Ronnie Milsap and Sara Evans. She’ll also sing the national anthem.
Saturday’s pre-race festivities will also include a Pit Crew Challenge as Lucas Oil Series competitors battle the clock to see which team can change two tires the fastest and earn cash awards.
