Heat postpones Clash's Fayetteville event
Saturday's Wayne Gray Sr. Memorial at Fayetteville (N.C.) Motor Speedway was postponed by track officials because of forecasts for triple-digit temperatures, the track announced Tuesday.
The $5,000-to-win Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series event that’s among the track’s most profitable events, was rescheduled for Nov. 8 with the 3/8-mile oval starting its summer break a week earlier than expected because of extreme weather.
Fayetteville plans to remain dark until action resumes Sept. 27 for the $7,500-to-win Carlton Lamm Big C Memorial, another Carolina Clash event.
