Ponderosa subbing for Hidden Hollow
Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., will host Friday's Super Late Model touring event, replacing a previously scheduled race at Hidden Hollow Speedway in Colson, Ky.
The $5,000-to-win event is co-sanctioned by the Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series and Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series.
The event was moved because Hidden Hollow owner Stephen Breeding didn’t want to open the season with the special at the recently revamped track formerly known as Lucky 7 Speedway (the track’s scheduled July 25 opener rained out).
The Iron-Man and Ultimate HofA tours also have a previously scheduled event set for Saturday at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Ky. (The Iron-Man associated Battle of the Bluegrass DIRTcar Series is also represented in the Aug. 1-2 weekend action.)
Hidden Hollow plans on competing Friday with a six-division program that includes Crate Late Models.
