Screven adds Barrow Memorial
Screven Motor Speedway and the Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model Series have added the Sept. 6 Casey Barrow Memorial, a $10,098-to-win Super Late Model event.
The race pays tribute to the former driver of the No. 98 Late Model and former special event winner at Screven who died unexpectedly in April at the age of 38.
The winner of the event, which pays $600-to-start, receives a provisional starting spot for 2026’s Winter Freeze at Screven. Five divisions are on the undercard including a $1,598-to-win feature for 602 Crate Late Models.
Other scheduling and purse changes:
• The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series has removed Aug. 22’s event at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., from the series schedule.
• Aug. 16's Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Series event at Casino Speedway in Watertown, S.D., will pay $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start thanks to sponsorship from Marotz Painting. (The original purse was $2,000-to-win and $225-to-start.)
