$5,000 special set for Big South Fork
Big South Fork Raceway in Huntsville, Tenn., has added a $5,000-to-win Limited Late Model feature for Friday. No other details were announced.
Among other schedule changes in special and sanctioned events:
• Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway's Aug. 31 and Sept. 12-13 races previously on the first-year Fall Clash tour will run unsanctioned. The Fall Clash also added a $10,000-to-win event at Outlaw Speedway in Dundee, N.Y.
• Sept. 1's Ultimate Southeast Super Late Model event at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C., has been removed from the series schedule.
• I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tenn., has added the Nov. 15 Gobbler and Dec. 27 Hangover to its schedule with no immediate details of classes or purses.
• The American All-Star Series has shortened its Labor Day weekend for the Crystal Cup weekend. Natural Bridge (Va.) Speedway opens the weekend Saturday with a $5,000-to-win event (originally scheduled for Friday) while Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., hosts a $7,000-to-win event Sunday. Beckley (W.Va.) Motor Speedway’s $10,000-to-win Saturday event was removed from the schedule.
• The Red Clay Series has added a $2,000-to-win event for Oct. 18 at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway. The series for 602 Crate Late Models will be part of the track’s Hall of Fame Race.
• The Best Plumber 604 Racing Series has made several fall schedule changes, cancelling Sept. 26’s race at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Ky., along with Oct. 25 and Nov. 1 races at I-75 Raceway. The series added a Sept. 27 event at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Ky., and a new season finale at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tenn., on Oct. 25.
• The Southern Wedge Late Model Association added a Sept. 20 event at Lake View Motor Speedway in Nichols, S.C., and an Oct. 11 event at Lavonia (Ga.) Speedway.
