The Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series today announced the cancellation of its Sept. 12-13 doubleheader at Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway and North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia.

Officials at North Alabama Speedway requested to cancel Saturday's event because of a conflict with the North Alabama State Fair. Without a companion event, Crossville (Tenn.) Speedway cancelled Friday's race. Neither $5,000-to-win program will be rescheduled.

The first-year circuit, which has had more than a dozen rainouts or cancellations, has had 10 winners in 12 races, with an additional six events remaining before crowning a champion Nov. 1 at Clarksville (Tenn.) Speedway. The next event is Sept. 20 at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth.
