Heartland Late Model Tour planned

A Missouri-based Super Late Model tour “designed with racers in mind” is in the works for 2026 under the guidance of 2-year-old Heartland Promotions, an organization that operates three tours for modified-style cars.
“Launching the Heartland Late Model Tour represents the next step for Heartland Promotions,” said Trenton Berry, the co-owner of Heartland Promotions along with Erick Chesterman and Austin Krueger. “We’re building on the success of the Heartland Modified Tour and giving Late Model racers a thrilling new platform to showcase their skills while offering promoters and partners events that excite crowds and pack the stands.”
No details on expected tracks or specific purses were announced, but Berry told DirtonDirt the series will likely stay in the region of its primary modified series with most events in Missouri and Kansas with occasional races in Oklahoma and perhaps Arkansas. He said he'll have firmer details once he books at least a handful of events.
The tour plans to followed unified body rules for Super Late Models with a tire rule allowing harder tires from any manufacturer (likely two compound choices apiece from Hoosier and American Racer, Berry said). Full rules will be announced soon for the tour, according to the release.
The tour, actively booking races and seeking sponsorships, pledged to run well-organized, lucrative events and “elevate the regional racing scene.”
Along with the Heartland Modified Tour, which is concluding its second season, Grain Valley, Mo.-based Heartland Promotions also operates the KEVKO Northern Lights Modified Series and American Racer Modified Series.
Events on the Late Model tour will stream on RacinDirt, which is operated by Berry and Krueger.
